Attached is a collection of slides representing my
body of work. I’ve
been working as an artist and free-lance illustrator for six years now. Drawing
and painting have always been a passion for me, but it was relatively late in
my life that I decided I needed to make it a career.
My influences include Frank Frazetta, Boris Vallejo, Jeffrey Jones, Justin Sweet,
and Larry Elmore. I believe a skilled artist understands the fundamentals of
the figure, light and shadow, and color scheme. Artistry is portrayed in the
characters one imagines, the scenes that are depicted and the stories that are
told. I believe my style is painterly yet clean and true to the figure.
I attended the Academy of Art College in San Francisco and hold a Bachelor of
Fine Arts degree form the University of Texas. My work can been seen in several
Mongoose publications. I have also developed an extensive client list from commission
work. I just finished the cover art for the SCA quarterly publication. I am currently
working with two writers in illustrating a graphic novel expected to be released
in July of 2007.
Consider me as you plan for up coming projects. My interests lie firmly in covers
and cards. However, I am open to other assignments. I know that professionalism,
deadlines, and consistency are important and I work hard to maintain high standards.
